Elegant, purposeful and robust, a bamboo steamer is a must have in every kitchen. Most of Obento's meals are designed to be reheated in this ancient form of cooking and with each use, the bamboo strengthens and seasons itself overtime.
Care conditions: Wash with soapy water and rinse thoroughly before first use and allow to air dry. After each use, apply soapy water on a sponge and remove any food residues, followed by warm water to rinse and air dry on a dish rack. Not suitable for a dishwasher.
Instructions for use: Fill a pot of water half full, ensuring that your pot is at least 28 -32 cm* wide, place steaming lid to close the pot until the water has reached boiling point. During the interim, remove packaging lids and place each meal into the steaming basket and when the water is on a rolling boil, remove the lid and place the steaming basket on top of each other (in no specific order but each tier will inter-lock), closing the top with the same steaming lid. * Should the basket be a little to big or small, not to worry, as long as the pot is sufficiently large enough to not have a major gaps between the pot rim and the edge of the basket, as this will allow the steam to exit prematurely.
